Carolyn & Joe | Campus Theatre

Our friends Carolyn & Joe got married this past weekend in Lewisburg, more famously home of Bucknell University, and perhaps less famously as the home of the Campus Theatre. But the Campus Theatre may have been one of the first movie theatres to ever host a wedding ceremony! It’s an awesome location – the theatre was redone in an art deco style and they even have a café-style area to watch the movie complete with tables and sofas! This all, of course, made for a wedding that was truly out-of-the-ordinary…they even rented a DeLorian to ride around in before the wedding! Sadly, I didn’t get to snag a photo of that…but here’s the marquee, complete with Indiana Jones times:

While the guests were being seated, they were entertained by the usual movie trivia, except that this time it was all about Carolyn and Joe!

The processional (obviously I wasn’t the official photographer…but couldn’t resist bringing my camera with us!):

The wedding party on the stage!

And what more appropriate exit than to popcorn:

The happy couple:

The reception was at the Lewisburg Hotel, a restored colonial-era hotel (seen here in its nightly glory):

Cutting (one of) the cake(s):

The actually had an entire cake table, of which these two cakes were a part (and absolutely delicious!):

Thanks for a truly awesome wedding, Mr. & Mrs. Rutkowski!

Dolores Sacco - Thank you for sharing your experience at Carolyn and Joe’s wedding. It’s always nice to see other perspectives of an event by the images that are taken. Your photos are wonderful. Being so close to the event itself, it was hard at times to focus on the moment, and photos such as these are the memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for coming to the wedding and for capturing such great moments on film. You have a very special talent.
